Overview
The Federal Group provides structural foam molding capabilities for the design and molding of large polymer components that may exceed physical boundaries of traditional polymer molding. Structural Foam Molding provides a method to manufacture large polymer components, while maintaining a high part strength to weight ratio and reducing part shrink over large surfaces. Tooling can also be designed to run parts in tandem to gain efficiencies. Shot sizes can go up to 200 pounds.Applications
These can run the spectrum of most any end market where large polymer parts are attractive. Large polymer parts may be a cost effective and lighter weight to metal based products.
